Do you lose salvation when you sin?

Are you losing your salvation every time you sin?

We are all born “in Adam” sharing in the likeness of his sinful fallen nature. We all need a Savior.

Once you believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you are born again, sharing in the likeness of His righteous nature. You become a totally new creation that is united completely to Him. His righteousness is a gift that He gives to you for free.

Once you’re born again, you aren’t morphing back into the likeness of Adam in need of salvation and the rebirth every time you sin. You don’t go back to being like Adam or lose salvation/right standing with God every time make a mistake. That is not the gospel.

We are eternally redeemed, forgiven of all sins — past, present and future. If you’re struggling with sin issues, the power to overcome is in understanding true grace (the gospel) and who you now are in Christ.

When we rest and trust in righteousness by faith (right standing with God as a gift) it changes everything! If we think it’s on us to change our behavior, do better, try harder, keep the commandments/law, and be holy in order to be right with God or stay right with God, then we are going to be miserable and struggle with sin. The Law makes sin come alive. We need to understand grace. Grace is power.

Your performance doesn’t get you saved and your performance doesn’t keep you saved. This is good news!!!!
