You Have Been Delivered!

We HAVE BEEN delivered from the power of darkness (Col 1:13). We no longer need to attempt to break free from the power of the devil, it has already happened.

Our battle is against the enemy’s lies. He attempts to put us and keep us in bondage through lies. So if we are believing the lies then he has influence in that area. He has no power or authority, but our incorrect beliefs and corresponding actions allow him to have influence.

Knowing the truth and then believing the truth is key. As we become anchored and grounded in truth, the deliverance we already have becomes a reality for us in our experience. The enemy’s influence will continue to lessen as we believe truth.

Some of the biggest lies that allow him influence are propagated by the deliverance movement. If you believe he has authority or a legal right to your life because of your ancestors sin or your sin, then you are stuck until you do or say the right thing to break his power and remove him.

The truth is the enemy has no authority or legal rights (Colossians 2:13-15). If you are participating with sin, then you are giving him influence, but he has no “rights” because Jesus stripped him of all of that.

How we experience and enjoy the freedom Jesus paid for us to have, depends on what we believe. Let’s choose to believe scripture over bad teaching. Who the Son sets free is free indeed!
