Jesus set me free from alcohol addiction!

I haven't had any alcohol in 5 years! Drinking wine truly was an issue for me, so I am so thankful to be free! I am so grateful that God showed me that it was something that needed to change in my life and then He gave me the grace to walk it out. If you're struggling there is hope!!!

When I was convicted to quit drinking alcohol in 2020, every issue that I had avoided and had been numbing myself to surfaced almost immediately. Bitterness, fear, social anxiety, relational issues, rejection, all of it. It was overwhelming to say the least, but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. The perseverance and dependency on Him that I developed in that season changed me forever.

If you are turning to alcohol or something in order to deal with hard things, avoid pain, or just because; know that there is no condemnation towards you.The God of all creation meets you right where you are and helps you overcome. I can assure you that the joy and freedom on the other side of addiction is worth it! The counterfeit things that we go to for pleasure will never fill us with the peace and love that we were created to experience.

Only God can turn a wine room filled with hundreds of bottles of wine, into a prayer room. To Him be the Glory. If you are trying to stop drinking or abusing alcohol, but are struggling to do so, there is hope. God loves you. All you have to do is take that first step, ask God to help you, reach out to someone, and begin to take your life back! You can overcome!
